Golden Bridge Ba Na Hills: a 1-day itinerary, ticket prices and opening hours

For travelers staying in Da Nang or Hoi An who want to see the Golden Bridge and explore Ba Na Hills in one day: 2026 ticket prices, what admission includes, transport options, and an itinerary you can adjust to the mountain weather.

Visitors on the Golden Bridge above its giant stone hands.

The first thing to arrange is an early departure, not just an admission ticket. Ba Na Hills is open from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, but the Golden Bridge has its own visiting hours, and cable car schedules can change. To photograph the bridge before the largest crowds arrive, aim to reach the lower cable car station around 7:45-8:00 AM and take the route that brings you closest to the bridge first.

Where is Golden Bridge, and what makes it special?

The Golden Bridge is inside Sun World Ba Na Hills, in An Son Hamlet, Ba Na Commune, Da Nang, approximately 25 kilometers southwest of central Da Nang. From Hoi An, the journey to the lower cable car station is usually around 45-55 kilometers, depending on where you're staying.

The Golden Bridge isn't a public bridge crossing a river or connecting two roads. It's a sightseeing walkway built into the mountainside, famous for the two enormous hands that appear to hold a curved golden walkway above the forest.

On low-cloud days, the bridge seems to float above a white layer.

Opened in 2018, the bridge measures approximately 150 meters in length and stands around 1,414 meters above sea level. Its walkway is roughly three meters wide, with flower beds along the sides.

The giant hands, designed to resemble weathered stone covered in moss, have become one of the most recognizable images of tourism in Da Nang.

The Golden Bridge isn't in the same area as every other attraction. The resort spreads across different elevations, connected by cable cars, a funicular railway and walking paths. The bridge sits on the mountainside, while the French Village, Fantasy Park and several other major attractions are higher up, so you'll keep traveling uphill after seeing it.

Do you need a separate ticket for the Golden Bridge?

No. A standard Ba Na Hills admission ticket already includes the Golden Bridge and a round-trip cable car journey. There is no cheaper Golden Bridge-only ticket that replaces entry to the wider resort.

Spending 20 minutes photographing the bridge and then leaving makes the standard ticket relatively expensive for such a short visit. Combine the bridge with at least the French Village, the gardens and one other attraction to get your money's worth.

Ba Na Hills ticket prices in 2026

Regular admission prices differ between eligible Da Nang residents and other visitors.

Ba Na Hills ticket price list for 2026

Ticket typeNon-Da Nang visitorsEligible Da Nang residents
Adult admission1,000,000 VND650,000 VND
Child 1-1.4 m tall800,000 VND550,000 VND
Senior over 70800,000 VND550,000 VND
Adult ticket + lunch buffet1,300,000 VND1,000,000 VND
Child ticket + lunch buffet1,000,000 VND750,000 VND
Senior ticket + lunch buffet1,150,000 VND890,000 VND

Prices are per person at 2026 rates and can change. Promotions may also affect the final price.

Children under one meter tall enter free of charge. Children taller than 1.4 meters pay the adult rate. A child exactly 1.4 meters tall is a borderline case, so check the height rule shown on the ticket before buying.

International visitors should budget for the non-Da Nang price unless they qualify for a specific promotion. Local rates require valid supporting identification, and staying at a Da Nang hotel for several nights doesn't make you eligible for the resident discount.

Special discounts for visitors aged 18-25

One promotion worth checking before buying a regular ticket is Sun World's FIRST 18-25 offer.

From September 1 through December 31, 2026, eligible visitors born between 2001 and 2008 can purchase:

  • Round-trip cable car admission: 500,000 VND per person.
  • Cable car admission with lunch buffet: 800,000 VND per person.
  • Cable car admission with a food voucher: approximately 730,000-750,000 VND per person, depending on the visitor category.

Valid identification showing your date of birth is required. International visitors can use their passports.

Two eligible travelers buying the 500,000 VND tickets would spend 1,000,000 VND in total instead of 2,000,000 VND at the regular non-resident adult rate, a big enough gap to check the official promotion before paying a third-party ticket agent.

What does a Ba Na Hills ticket include?

The standard 2026 admission ticket covers round-trip cable car transport and entry to most of the resort's main attractions, including:

  • The Golden Bridge and Le Jardin d'Amour flower gardens.
  • The French Village, public squares and architectural attractions.
  • Moon Castle and other sightseeing areas covered by general admission.
  • Most attractions inside Fantasy Park.
  • The resort's funicular railway.
  • Scheduled performances and selected 3D, 4D and 5D cinema experiences.

Not everything inside Ba Na Hills is free once you've entered, though: Debay Wine Cellar, the alpine coaster, certain interactive light experiences, prize games, climbing activities and 10D cinema experiences.

Debay Wine Cellar admission starts at 100,000 VND per person. A single alpine coaster ride costs 70,000 VND during certain off-peak periods or 100,000 VND during regular daytime hours.

Your admission ticket may also include a complimentary food or beverage benefit, such as a pastry from Eric Kayser, refreshments at Ba Na Brew House or a Sun Kraftbeer at Ba Na 1901. Since September 2026, these benefits have been built into ticket QR codes instead of separate paper coupons. Ask at the counter which options are running on the day and whether your ticket includes one.

Can one ticket be used for three days?

In 2026, Sun World introduced a policy allowing eligible admission tickets to be used over three consecutive days, provided visitors complete the required upgrade and FaceID registration at the ticket office before their first entry.

The three days run back to back; you cannot choose three unrelated dates within the same month. Single-use food benefits and paid services aren't renewed each day. Online tickets still need that registration at the counter before they work for three days.

A straightforward one-day visit doesn't need to change around this policy. Travelers staying in Da Nang for several days, though, may find the option to return useful when rain or thick fog affects the Golden Bridge on the first day.

Ba Na Hills opening hours: what time should you visit Golden Bridge?

The resort is open 8:00 AM-10:00 PM, but attractions, restaurants and cable car routes keep their own hours, and not all of them run until 10:00 PM.

The Golden Bridge itself is open 8:00 AM-7:00 PM, and Fantasy Park runs roughly 8:30 AM-7:00 PM.

These time windows help when planning a typical day trip.

TimeShould you visit Golden Bridge? What to expect
8:00-9:30 AMBest priorityBetter chance of arriving before later tour groups
9:30-11:30 AMStill reasonableMore visitors and organized groups
11:30 AM-2:00 PMLess ideal for photographyOften busier, with stronger sunlight on clear days
2:00-4:30 PMGood backup windowWorth considering if morning fog clears
After 4:30 PMCheck operations firstChanging visibility, daylight and cable car schedules may limit your plans

These are suggested visiting windows, not fixed crowd statistics, and an early arrival won't guarantee an empty bridge either. Organized tours can reach the attraction shortly after opening, especially on weekends and public holidays.

An afternoon return to the bridge is another possibility, but it only makes sense when the connecting cable car routes are running smoothly and you still have enough time to descend.

How to get to Ba Na Hills from Da Nang or Hoi An

Golden Bridge and the way up

Loading map...

  1. Ba Na Hills cable car station (base): arrive around 7:45-8:00 AM for an early cable car
  2. Golden Bridge: about 150 m long, open 8:00 AM-7:00 PM
  3. Linh Ung Pagoda, Ba Na: same area as Le Jardin d'Amour
  4. Fantasy Park: indoor park, roughly 8:30 AM-7:00 PM
  5. Dragon Bridge: central Da Nang, 40-60 minutes by car to the base
  6. Novotel Danang Premier Han River: WOW Bus pickup, 36-38 Bach Dang Street, 8:30 and 9:30 AM
  7. Japanese Covered Bridge, Hoi An: Hoi An Ancient Town, 45-55 km from Ba Na Hills

From central Da Nang

From the Dragon Bridge area, Hai Chau District or the My Khe beachfront, the drive to the lower cable car station usually takes around 40-60 minutes in favorable traffic. A hotel pickup at approximately 6:45-7:00 AM gets you to the entrance before 8:00 AM, in time for an early cable car.

For families with children or elderly travelers, a private car with a driver is the easiest way to control your return time. The driver deals with the roads and parking, and you won't depend on a ride-hailing driver accepting a return trip from outside the city.

When booking, specify Sun World Ba Na Hills cable car entrance as your destination. This matters because the resort also contains hotels and several attractions at different elevations.

Ask the driver whether the quoted fare includes the round trip, waiting time, parking and any late-return surcharge. A full-day hire is priced differently from two one-way transfers, so don't simply double a one-way fare.

Taking the free WOW Bus from Da Nang

Sun World's free WOW Bus has been running since August 2026. Morning departures leave from the Novotel Danang Premier Han River area at 36-38 Bach Dang Street at 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM.

Other pickup points include East Sea Park, the My Khe beachfront opposite DLG Hotel, Vegas Club and 99 Vo Nguyen Giap Street. The return service leaves Ba Na Hills at 4:00 PM.

The WOW Bus is particularly useful for solo travelers, couples and small groups trying to reduce transport costs. The trade-off is timing: it won't get you onto the Golden Bridge as the attraction opens at 8:00 AM.

You need to register a seat with Sun World in advance, preferably at least one day before departure. The bus does not collect passengers at arbitrary points along the route.

Check the current departure time and pickup location when registering, as bus arrangements can change.

From Hoi An to Ba Na Hills

From Hoi An Ancient Town, the journey is usually around 45-55 kilometers, or approximately 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes by car, depending on your hotel and traffic conditions.

To arrive around 8:00 AM, plan to leave Hoi An at approximately 6:15-6:30 AM. Accommodation outside the central Hoi An area needs extra travel time on top.

The two practical choices from Hoi An are a private round-trip transfer with a driver waiting and a day tour including hotel pickup. A private car lets you stay at the Golden Bridge as long as you like without waiting for a group. A shared tour is convenient when you'd rather arrange your transport, tickets and possibly lunch together, but check how much free time it actually provides.

A tour that reaches the lower cable car station after 10:00 AM and leaves the mountain at 3:00 PM may feel rushed once cable car queues, transfers and lunch are included.

The free WOW Bus described above operates from Da Nang, with no direct pickup from Hoi An Ancient Town. Without a hotel transfer to Ba Na Hills, book your return transport in advance; arriving by one-way car and leaving the return journey to chance can leave you hunting for a ride back to Hoi An.

Which cable car should you take to reach Golden Bridge first?

Ba Na Hills has several cable car stations, and only some routes from the base of the mountain take you directly to the Golden Bridge area.

The most convenient route for reaching the bridge first is:

Hoi An Station - Marseille Station - Golden Bridge.

This route brings visitors to the mountainside area containing Golden Bridge, Le Jardin d'Amour and Debay Wine Cellar.

A Ba Na cable car passing above the forest in the mist.
Photo: Daaé
A cabin gliding over the forest canopy in the mist.

After exploring that section, continue upward on the Bordeaux Station - Louvre Station connection to reach attractions closer to the summit. This order suits anyone visiting mainly for the Golden Bridge.

How long does it take to reach Golden Bridge?

The cable car ride itself takes around 15-25 minutes, depending on the route, and that's only part of the trip from the entrance to the bridge. You also need to walk through the arrival area, pass ticket checks, wait for a cabin and continue from the upper station to the attraction.

On an ordinary day, allow at least 30-60 minutes from entering the lower station area to reaching the Golden Bridge, and considerably longer on busy holidays. Leave a central Da Nang hotel at 8:30 AM and you're unlikely to be standing on the bridge by 9:15 AM.

One-day Ba Na Hills itinerary: Golden Bridge first, attractions afterward

This itinerary works best for travelers leaving Da Nang by private car, reaching the lower station around 8:00 AM and returning during the afternoon. Following a sensible route matters more than the total number of attractions visited, so drop any stop that doesn't appeal.

  1. 7:00-8:00 AM

Leave Da Nang and reach the lower station

Have breakfast before departure so you aren't looking for food as soon as you reach the mountain, particularly if you want to photograph Golden Bridge before the largest crowds arrive.

At the lower station, organize your tickets, confirm the operating cable car route and use the restroom before joining the queue.

Keep the QR code of an electronic ticket ready. Local-resident verification, age verification and FaceID registration for a three-day ticket all need to be done before entry.

Follow signs toward Hoi An Station if the Hoi An-Marseille cable car route is operating.

  2. 8:00-9:30 AM

Cable car ride and Golden Bridge

After arriving at Marseille Station, head directly toward Golden Bridge.

Don't immediately join the crowd at the first photo spot. Walk along the bridge, see where the foot traffic is lighter and choose a position that includes both the giant hands and the curve of the walkway.

At just 150 meters long, the bridge doesn't take long to cross. Most visitors spend much more time taking photos, waiting for a clearer view and watching the surrounding landscape. Around 30-45 minutes is enough for most people, and anyone particularly interested in photography can reasonably spend an hour.

For a wide shot, try to include the curve of the bridge and at least one of the stone hands. Standing too close to a hand makes it difficult to capture the distinctive shape of the structure.

Portrait-takers should avoid blocking the main walking route while waiting for a completely empty background. Don't climb onto railings or flower beds to get a higher camera angle.

On foggy mornings, parts of the giant hands may appear and disappear behind the clouds. That can make an atmospheric photograph, though not a clear one of the entire bridge and the forested hills beyond. Give the weather a little time to change before deciding whether to return later.

  3. 9:30-10:30 AM

Le Jardin d'Amour and the spiritual attractions

After the Golden Bridge, continue to Le Jardin d'Amour, a landscaped area with several smaller themed gardens, flower beds, walking paths and viewpoints. With older family members, stick to a few gardens near the main route instead of trying to explore every corner.

Linh Ung Pagoda is another possible stop for anyone interested in Buddhist architecture and places of worship. Keep your voice down inside religious areas and avoid posing for photos where people are praying.

Debay Wine Cellar is also nearby, although it requires separate admission. It suits visitors interested in historical structures, underground stone corridors and wine-related experiences.

Families with younger children or travelers avoiding extra expenses can skip the wine cellar. An unhurried hour at Golden Bridge and the gardens may be more rewarding than adding another attraction simply because it's close.

  4. 10:30-11:30 AM

Head up to the French Village

After exploring the Golden Bridge area, follow signs to the cable car connection toward the upper attractions.

The French Village is the most recognizable European-style section of Ba Na Hills. Its stone-paved streets, large squares, church-inspired architecture, steep roofs and old-fashioned façades provide plenty of opportunities for photographs. Depending on the route you take, you can explore the area around Eclipse Square, Saint Denis Cathedral and the surrounding streets.

Forget about a photo in front of every building. Choose one walking route, spend some time in an open square and find a viewpoint overlooking the rooftops; that makes for a more pleasant visit than repeatedly doubling back.

Live performances occasionally attract large crowds to the squares. To catch one, check the schedule displayed on-site rather than waiting for an unconfirmed show.

  5. 11:30 AM-12:30 PM

    Lunch

Ticket-and-buffet holders can eat at the restaurant specified on their ticket or at one of the eligible restaurants near where they are. Buffet venues on the mountain include Four Seasons, Taiga and Bharata, and the exact restaurant included depends on your package and the day's operations.

Not every buffet restaurant accepts every type of meal voucher, so check the restaurant name, valid dining period and terms attached to your ticket.

The adult ticket-and-buffet package costs 1,300,000 VND for non-Da Nang visitors, 300,000 VND more than regular admission. Bought separately, the adult lunch buffet costs 380,000 VND, so anyone who'll definitely eat the buffet saves approximately 80,000 VND with the package.

Light eaters, or anyone who'd rather spend the time sightseeing, may do better with regular admission and an à la carte meal.

Other dining options around the resort include Brasserie, Bulgogi, Sushi Bar and Ba Na 1901. Check menus, prices and serving hours on the day, since older online menus are often out of date.

  6. 12:30-2:00 PM

    Explore Fantasy Park

Fantasy Park, a large indoor entertainment complex over multiple floors with rides, interactive attractions, cinemas and activities for families, is a useful stop after lunch, especially when it starts raining or thick fog develops outside.

Pick the levels that suit your group. Families with children should look first for areas suitable for their ages and heights, since younger children may enjoy gentler attractions more than rides designed for older visitors.

Groups of friends can choose a few interesting rides and move on; spending the whole afternoon waiting for one attraction nobody was excited about is a waste.

Most standard Fantasy Park activities are included in admission, although certain special experiences and prize games cost extra.

On rainy days you may spend longer here than expected, which is another reason not to schedule your return journey immediately after a particular ride.

  7. 2:00-3:00 PM

    Visit Moon Castle

Moon Castle is part of the Moon Kingdom area and has a different atmosphere from the French Village. Its themed spaces focus on fantasy, entertainment and visual experiences, a welcome change of scenery after an hour of European-style buildings.

A funicular connection between the Sun Kingdom and Moon Kingdom areas may be available depending on the operating schedule.

Moon Castle is included in regular admission, although certain individual experiences can have their own conditions or charges.

Families with tired children or visitors who have already spent a long time at Fantasy Park can skip this stop rather than cross into another area just to say they've been.

  8. 3:00-4:30 PM

    Take a break and descend

Before heading down, use the restroom, check your belongings and confirm which cable car route currently leads back to the base. Any spare time is good for a stop at Eric Kayser or the Ba Na Brew House area to redeem an eligible food or beverage benefit.

Getting down takes time too. On busy days, walking back to the station and waiting for a cabin may add a substantial delay.

For private-car travelers, reaching the lower station around 4:00-4:30 PM provides a reasonable afternoon finish, with the drive back to central Da Nang depending on traffic.

If you're taking the 4:00 PM WOW Bus, shorten this itinerary.

Skip Moon Castle or reduce your time at Fantasy Park, and start toward the descending cable car around 2:45-3:00 PM, or earlier if the resort is crowded. Turning up at the bus pickup point at exactly 4:00 PM is cutting it too fine.

What else is there to do at Ba Na Hills besides Golden Bridge?

The Golden Bridge is the headline attraction, but it isn't the only reason to visit, and each part of Ba Na Hills suits a different kind of traveler.

Golden Bridge and Le Jardin d'Amour

For scenery and photography

These are good choices for first-time visitors, couples and families looking for photographs that clearly show where they've been.

The main advantage is that they're close to each other, with no long transfer in between. The disadvantage is their exposure to the weather: fog, rain and wind can change the experience considerably.

French Village

For architecture and relaxed walking

The French Village from above, towers and a glass roof half hidden in morning mist.

The French Village is one of the best areas to explore without rushing, particularly for visitors who aren't interested in amusement rides.

The large buildings, tiled roofs, squares and restaurants create a substantial walking area where you can stop for refreshments, take pictures or catch a scheduled performance.

Allow at least an hour to explore part of the village properly.

Fantasy Park

For families with children

Fantasy Park's biggest advantage is the range of indoor activities. When conditions aren't ideal at the Golden Bridge, it gives you something to do without immediately descending the mountain.

Families should select rides based on children's height and age requirements rather than expecting everyone to participate in the same attractions.

Moon Castle

For themed entertainment

Moon Castle is worth including if you'd like to experience another part of Ba Na Hills after the French Village.

Visitors with only four or five hours on the mountain can easily skip it, though, and still see the resort's most distinctive features.

Alpine coaster

For visitors who enjoy active rides

The alpine coaster is popular because it combines movement, outdoor surroundings and the mountain terrain. It isn't a ride to force into a tight itinerary, though, as operations depend on weather and other conditions, and queues can be long.

Visitors shorter than 1.2 meters cannot ride. Children measuring from 1.2 meters to under 1.4 meters are subject to adult-accompaniment requirements.

Ask about waiting times before purchasing a separate ticket. A very long queue is a good reason to spend the afternoon in another area instead.

Restaurants and Ba Na Brew House

For a longer break

After several hours of walking, a proper seat inside can be more appealing than another photo location.

Depending on their opening schedules, Ba Na Brew House, Ba Na 1901 and Beer Plaza are good places to sit down, and visitors who don't drink alcohol have other dining and refreshment options.

Anyone hoping to stay into the evening should check the entertainment schedule and dinner services before selecting a ticket. An evening visit is a different itinerary, not simply the standard Golden Bridge day trip extended until 10:00 PM.

Ba Na Hills weather: is it cold or foggy on the mountain?

Yes, it can be both. Ba Na Hills sits at an elevation approaching 1,500 meters, so conditions are noticeably different from those in central Da Nang.

It can be hot and sunny on the coast while Golden Bridge sits in damp cloud. You might have sunshine during the cable car ride, thick clouds when leaving the upper station and light rain an hour later.

March to September

These months are usually drier and better for outdoor sightseeing and photography. Better weather also brings larger visitor numbers, particularly during summer, weekends and public holidays.

March through June is a good period to prioritize Golden Bridge, the gardens and French Village. On clear days, midday sunlight can be strong, so carry sunscreen, a hat and drinking water.

July through September can still bring many pleasant days, but sudden showers and thunderstorms are possible. Cloud and fog conditions don't follow a fixed daily timetable.

October to February

This period is cooler, cloudier and wetter, with more frequent fog, and temperatures drop further during early mornings and evenings.

November and December call for a wind-resistant jacket, long trousers and shoes with a good grip. A compact raincoat is often more practical than a large umbrella when it's windy.

During heavy fog, only part of the Golden Bridge may be visible. Anyone after a clear photograph showing both hands and the mountains beyond should check the weather before choosing a date, and accept that conditions at the summit can still differ from the forecast for the city.

When should you change your visiting date?

Consider changing your plans when heavy rain is forecast for most of the day, strong winds are expected or official weather warnings could affect outdoor activities and transport.

Light rain still leaves you the indoor attractions. Just don't buy admission solely on the assumption that the Golden Bridge will appear beneath a bright blue sky.

Check the weather specifically around Ba Na Mountain rather than relying only on the forecast for My Khe Beach or downtown Da Nang.

Cable car operations and outdoor activities are controlled by the resort. If weather-related restrictions are announced, follow staff instructions rather than trying to continue along a closed route.

Should you buy regular admission, a buffet package or a guided tour?

There isn't one ticket that suits every visitor.

Choose regular admission if you want flexibility

Regular admission works well when your priorities are Golden Bridge, French Village and a few other attractions rather than a large buffet lunch.

You have more control over when and where to eat. Take a break when you're hungry, choose a smaller meal or redeem any included refreshment benefit according to its terms.

For visitors planning to spend only four or five hours on the mountain, regular admission is often more sensible than a package containing several extras.

Choose the buffet package for a full-day visit

The buffet package suits groups of friends, families with children and travelers who prefer a substantial lunch without ordering individual dishes.

Two non-resident adults purchasing admission with buffet lunch will pay 2,600,000 VND, before road transport and any extra-charge attractions. The package saves nothing for anyone who eats very little or has to leave a sightseeing area early just to make the restaurant's service window.

Choose a group tour if you don't want to arrange transport

Group tours can be convenient for international visitors and travelers unfamiliar with getting around Da Nang.

Before booking, check the pickup and return times, whether cable car admission is included, whether lunch is included and how much independent time is allocated to Golden Bridge.

Some tours advertised as "Golden Bridge tours" also visit other attractions. Look past how many places appear in the advertisement to how much time you actually have at Ba Na Hills once transport, queues and lunch are accounted for.

For elderly travelers who need regular breaks or young children with specific meal and nap schedules, a private car is usually more comfortable than a group tour.

How much does a full day at Golden Bridge cost?

The examples below use 2026 ticket prices. They exclude transport and personal spending.

GroupTicket choiceTotal admission cost
2 non-Da Nang adultsRegular admission2,000,000 VND
2 non-Da Nang adultsAdmission + lunch buffet2,600,000 VND
2 eligible FIRST 18-25 visitorsDiscounted cable car admission1,000,000 VND
2 non-Da Nang adults + 1 child 1-1.4 m tallRegular admission2,800,000 VND
2 non-Da Nang adults + 1 child 1-1.4 m tallAdmission + lunch buffet3,600,000 VND

Transport is one of the easiest expenses to underestimate. Traveling from Hoi An normally takes longer and may cost more than departing from central Da Nang.

For two people staying in Da Nang, the free WOW Bus can make a noticeable difference to the total cost, at the price of following a fixed transport schedule.

Optional expenses such as Debay Wine Cellar, the alpine coaster, priority passes and restaurant meals outside your package should be treated as choices rather than unavoidable costs.

Families should calculate ticket costs using each child's actual height on the travel date, since age alone doesn't determine the standard child admission category.

Is the WOW Pass worth buying?

WOW Pass is an additional paid priority-access service offered by Sun World Ba Na Hills. WOW Pass Silver costs 300,000 VND, while WOW Pass Gold costs 1,000,000 VND.

Depending on the pass category, benefits may include priority access to selected cable car routes, funicular services and restaurants.

Priority access may reduce waiting at participating services, but the Golden Bridge itself gets no less crowded, and nobody reserves it for your photographs.

On an ordinary weekday, with an early start and a flexible plan, a regular ticket is enough to begin with, and the WOW Pass can wait.

Major holidays are a different story, particularly when traveling with older people or young children who find long queues difficult.

Check the exact benefits before paying, since not every queue or attraction inside Ba Na Hills provides the same priority privileges.

What should you bring to Golden Bridge and Ba Na Hills?

A small bag is plenty, as long as it holds a few things that make the day easier.

Comfortable shoes: A full day involves walking, stairs and stone-paved paths. Trainers or low, grippy shoes are more practical than slippery sandals or high heels.

A jacket: Even when Da Nang is hot, the mountain can be breezy and cool. Bring something warmer during the final months of the year.

Identification: This is especially important for residents' tickets, age-based promotions and any offer requiring identity verification.

A charged phone: You'll need your ticket QR code, maps and a way to contact your driver. A power bank is useful.

Rain and sun protection: Pack a lightweight raincoat, sunscreen, a hat and a waterproof pouch for electronic devices.

Some extra money: Keep a small budget for food, optional rides and services not covered by admission.

Families bringing a stroller should check accessible paths and lift availability in each area. Ba Na Hills has several changes in elevation and connecting levels, and getting around is nothing like walking through a flat shopping center.

Visitors with reduced mobility should contact the resort before purchasing tickets to confirm suitable cable car access, lifts and available assistance.

Is Ba Na Hills worth visiting?

Seeing the Golden Bridge alone and experiencing a larger mountain entertainment resort are two very different trips.

Ba Na Hills suits first-time Da Nang visitors, photography enthusiasts, travelers interested in unusual architecture and families with children. The combination of cable cars, themed buildings, gardens and indoor entertainment provides enough activities for a substantial day trip without driving between several separate locations.

The Golden Bridge is the most famous photographic landmark, but the cable car journeys, French Village and Fantasy Park are what make the wider day feel more complete.

Travelers looking for untouched wilderness, quiet mountain trekking or uncrowded local experiences may not find what they want here. Ba Na Hills is a large, heavily developed tourism complex with artificial attractions, commercial facilities and substantial visitor traffic, nothing like a remote nature hike, however misty the forests look in promotional photographs.

Travelers on a tight budget who are choosing between several Da Nang attractions and aren't especially interested in the Golden Bridge can reasonably leave Ba Na Hills off the itinerary.

But if the bridge is one of the main reasons you decided to visit Da Nang, give it a proper day, and avoid pairing Ba Na Hills with an early-afternoon commitment in Hoi An that keeps you checking the time.

Around 6-8 hours on the mountain is enough to cover the main attractions at a comfortable pace. Travelers coming from Hoi An should reserve almost the entire day once the journeys in both directions are included.

The Golden Bridge is only about 150 meters long, but getting from the foot of Ba Na Mountain to the bridge and exploring the rest of the resort deserves most of a day. Arrive at the lower cable car station around 8:00 AM, see the Golden Bridge first, and leave your afternoon for the French Village and Fantasy Park.

FAQ

Do you need a Ba Na Hills ticket to visit Golden Bridge?

Yes. The Golden Bridge is inside Sun World Ba Na Hills. Standard admission in 2026 includes round-trip cable car transport and access to the bridge, so no separate Golden Bridge ticket is required. Regular adult admission for non-Da Nang visitors is 1,000,000 VND before promotions.

How long should you spend at Ba Na Hills?

Allow approximately 6-8 hours on the mountain to visit Golden Bridge, the gardens, French Village, have lunch and explore Fantasy Park. Including transport from Da Nang, the full outing usually takes around 9-10 hours. From Hoi An, plan for a longer day.

What time does Ba Na Hills open? Can you visit Golden Bridge at night?

The resort is open 8:00 AM-10:00 PM, while the Golden Bridge itself is open 8:00 AM-7:00 PM. Individual cable car and attraction schedules may change, so confirm the day's operations before traveling. Don't plan an evening trip solely around photographing the Golden Bridge.

Is Ba Na Hills worth it if you're only interested in Golden Bridge?

If you only want one photograph and intend to leave immediately afterward, regular admission is expensive for the amount of time spent. It offers better value when you combine Golden Bridge with the cable cars, French Village, gardens and activities inside Fantasy Park. Travelers who dislike busy commercial attractions should consider whether it suits their interests.

Is November or December a good time to visit Golden Bridge?

You can still visit, but November and December generally bring cooler weather, more rain and frequent fog on the mountain. Clear photographs of the full bridge depend on conditions that day. Check the forecast and operating schedule beforehand, and bring warm clothing, rain protection and shoes with good grip.
