Cam Ranh airport: 35 km to Nha Trang, transport options and prices

This guide is for domestic and international travelers arriving at Cam Ranh Airport in 2026 and heading to Nha Trang or Da Lat. It covers transport options, travel times, fares, pickup locations, and what to do if your flight arrives early or late.

By Da Lat LoversPublished Updated

Once you have collected your luggage at Cam Ranh Airport, the first thing to decide is whether you are heading to central Nha Trang, staying at a resort in Bai Dai, or continuing to Da Lat. Downtown Nha Trang is about 35 km away, usually a 45-60-minute drive. Da Lat takes approximately 3.5-4.5 hours by private car when the most direct route is available. Solo travelers with light luggage can start with the buses, while groups and late-night arrivals usually do better with a taxi or pre-booked transfer.

Where is Cam Ranh airport, and how far is it from Nha Trang?

Cam Ranh International Airport, with the airport code CXR, is located south of Nha Trang in Khanh Hoa Province, Vietnam. The airport sits along Nguyen Tat Thanh Boulevard, close to Bai Dai Beach and the large resort developments along the Cam Ranh coastline.

On July 1, 2025, the former Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan provinces were merged into the new Khanh Hoa Province. You may therefore see older administrative addresses on booking websites or maps.

The distance from the airport depends on your actual destination.

DestinationApproximate distanceDriving time
Resorts along Bai Dai Beach5-15 km, depending on the resort10-25 minutes
Central Nha Trang35 km45-60 minutes
Hon Chong area, northern Nha Trang40 km or more55-75 minutes
Central Da LatDepends on the available road routeAround 3.5-4.5 hours on a direct route

Not everyone arriving at Cam Ranh Airport needs to travel into Nha Trang first. Alma Resort, Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh, and the accommodation around The Arena are all in the Bai Dai area, much closer to the airport than downtown Nha Trang. Check the address before booking a ride. Taking a bus into the city and then returning to your resort would waste both time and money.

Hotels on Hung Vuong, Nguyen Thien Thuat, Tran Quang Khai, or Tran Phu Street in central Nha Trang are farther away, and you will need to continue north along Nguyen Tat Thanh Boulevard.

There is no separate commercial airport in downtown Nha Trang. Flights sold as arriving in Nha Trang land at Cam Ranh Airport, identified by the code CXR.

How many terminals does Cam Ranh airport have?

Cam Ranh Airport has two main passenger terminals: Terminal 1 for domestic flights and Terminal 2 for international flights.

TerminalUsed forWhat to know
T1 - Domestic TerminalFlights within VietnamArrivals from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and other domestic destinations
T2 - International TerminalInternational flightsImmigration, baggage collection, and international arrivals

Both terminals are within the same airport complex, but they have separate arrival areas and transport pickup arrangements. When booking a taxi, Grab, or airport transfer, select the correct terminal rather than entering only the airport name.

What should you do after arriving at Terminal 1?

Domestic arrivals collect their luggage, leave the baggage claim area, and follow the signs to the transport pickup location.

The official GrabCar pickup point at Terminal 1 moved to columns 5, 6, and 7 on February 3, 2026. From the arrivals exit, turn right and walk approximately 100 meters. VinBus route 16-2 uses a different pickup location, around columns 8 and 9 on the airport pickup road.

What should you do after arriving at Terminal 2?

International passengers must complete immigration formalities before collecting their luggage and entering the arrivals hall. Terminal 2 has official taxi services, with fares set by the terminal operator.

A pre-booked private transfer will meet you at the point given in the transport company's instructions.

Sort out an Internet connection before leaving the terminal. A Vietnamese SIM, pre-installed eSIM, or airport Wi-Fi will help you contact your driver. The Terminal 1 Grab arrangement does not carry over to Terminal 2; follow the pickup instructions shown in your app.

Travelers connecting to a domestic flight after entering Vietnam need to check the departure terminal on their ticket and allow time to move between terminals.

How to get from Cam Ranh airport to Nha Trang

There are four main options: Dat Moi bus route 18, VinBus electric bus route 16-2, taxi or ride-hailing services, and pre-booked private transfers.

Dat Moi's current fares took effect on March 26, 2026. The old VND 50,000 fare for route 18 still shows up in places. Confirm the current ticket price at the counter before paying.

The International Taxi and Xanh SM prices above are the 2026 fares at International Terminal 2 for journeys into Nha Trang. Actual prices may vary according to your drop-off point, travel time, and additional charges.

Dat Moi bus route 18: best for central Nha Trang

Dat Moi route 18 is the one to check first for a solo traveler or couple carrying only a small suitcase and staying downtown.

The service connects Cam Ranh Airport with the area around Nha Trang's 19/8 Stadium, passing several streets near the main tourist accommodation district. Stops include areas around Nguyen Thien Thuat Street, 1 Tran Quang Khai, 10 Tran Hung Dao, and 19/8 Stadium. The exact stop arrangements may depend on the direction of travel and current service operations.

Staying on Nguyen Thien Thuat or Tran Quang Khai? Show the address to the ticket staff and ask which stop is closest, since the bus does not stop directly outside every hotel.

Dat Moi bus fares in 2026

Fares since March 26, 2026:

  • Standard bus: VND 75,000 per person, one way.
  • VIP limousine bus: VND 100,000 per person, one way.

Vehicles may have 9, 16, or 29 seats, depending on the service. Tickets can be purchased at the counter or on the bus. Carrying smaller Vietnamese banknotes is useful.

What time does the Dat Moi bus operate?

The service is arranged around flight demand and schedules, so buses do not leave at a fixed interval throughout the day.

Departures from the airport begin around 5:30 AM, with late services arranged around the final domestic arrivals. However, this does not guarantee that a bus will still be waiting after a delayed flight or a long wait at baggage claim. Ask the ticket counter about the next actual departure before deciding.

Travelers carrying large suitcases may find a taxi easier. The bus is cheaper, but you may still need to walk from the drop-off point to your hotel.

VinBus 16-2: useful for Bai Dai and southern Nha Trang

VinBus route 16-2 is an electric bus service connecting Cam Ranh Airport with the Vinpearl Nha Trang area. Its route passes along Nguyen Tat Thanh Boulevard, Nguyen Duc Canh, Hoang Dieu, and Tran Phu.

The service passes resort areas along Bai Dai, which makes it most relevant to guests staying on this stretch of coast rather than deep inside central Nha Trang.

Tran Phu Beach, with VinBus 16-2 running along the seafront.

The fare is VND 50,000 per person, one way.

When the route launched on December 24, 2024, departures from Cam Ranh Airport toward Vinpearl Nha Trang ran from 7:00 AM to 9:15 PM, approximately every 45 minutes. The 11:00 PM figure you may see is the route's overall operating window; the last airport departure on the original timetable was 9:15 PM.

Check the timetable for your specific direction and travel date with VinBus or call 1900 866 663.

At the airport, the pickup location is near columns 8-9. Arriving at Terminal 2, confirm the walking route to the stop with airport staff before moving your luggage.

VinBus also offers free travel under certain conditions for qualifying Vinpearl, VinWonders, or Vinpearl Harbour customers. You will need valid booking information that meets the promotion's requirements, and free transport is not available to every passenger.

Luggage is another consideration. The general luggage allowance on VinBus is up to 10 kg, with dimensions not exceeding 30 x 40 x 60 cm. A large checked suitcase will usually exceed that. Confirm whether it can be accommodated before heading to the bus stop.

Cam Ranh airport taxi: practical for two to four travelers

For two or three people, a taxi can be better value than buying bus tickets and arranging another ride from the bus stop to your hotel.

In 2026, International Taxi charges approximately VND 300,000 for a four-seat vehicle and VND 360,000 for a seven-seat vehicle from Cam Ranh International Terminal to Nha Trang. Three people sharing a VND 300,000 taxi pay VND 100,000 each. That is not much more than the Dat Moi VIP bus, but the taxi takes everyone directly to their accommodation.

Before getting into the vehicle, confirm whether the agreed fare includes airport charges, road tolls, and the exact drop-off location.

Saying "Nha Trang" is not enough. Show the driver your hotel's name and address. This matters most for accommodation in Hon Chong, Vinh Hoa, or another area outside the central tourist district.

The journey to Bai Dai is shorter, and the fare may be different. A full downtown Nha Trang fare does not apply to a resort much closer to the airport.

GrabCar and Xanh SM: compare the final fare

GrabCar shows you a fare before booking, as long as your phone has an Internet connection. Enter your hotel's exact address and the app will display available vehicle categories and prices. Check whether airport-related charges are included in the trip details.

At Terminal 1, GrabCar's official pickup point moved to columns 5-7 on February 3, 2026. From the arrivals exit, turn right and walk approximately 100 meters to the designated pickup area.

Xanh SM is another option. At Terminal 2, a four-seat GSM vehicle to Nha Trang costs VND 350,000 and a four-seat GSM Premium vehicle VND 400,000 in 2026. Xanh SM's customer hotline is 1900 2088.

When comparing a traditional taxi with an app-based service, compare the final amount you will pay, not just the initial fare.

Private airport transfers: best for late arrivals or lots of luggage

A pre-booked transfer is often the easiest arrangement for flights arriving after 10:00 PM, travelers with young children or older family members, and groups with several suitcases.

You can book through your hotel, resort, or a private transport company. Before paying, confirm the total vehicle price, passenger capacity, luggage capacity, meeting point, free waiting time if your flight is delayed, and any late-night surcharge.

Private transfers to Nha Trang run around VND 350,000-500,000, but the price list does not say whether that is per car or per person. Ask for a written quote confirming that the amount covers the entire vehicle.

Some room packages include a complimentary airport transfer; use that instead of arranging a separate taxi.

How to get from Cam Ranh airport to Da Lat

From Cam Ranh Airport, you can travel directly to Da Lat by private car or first go to Nha Trang and take an intercity bus or limousine service.

The bus connection through Nha Trang is usually the cheapest way for solo travelers on a budget. Groups of three or more should compare the cost of a direct private car.

Travel to Da Lat takes longer than the journey to Nha Trang and depends more heavily on mountain road conditions. The estimated 3.5-4.5-hour journey applies when the direct route is available and traffic conditions are favorable; a detour can make it significantly longer.

Option 1: private car directly from Cam Ranh airport to Da Lat

This is the simplest option if you want to avoid changing vehicles. Your driver meets you at Terminal 1 or Terminal 2, loads your luggage, and takes you directly to your accommodation in Da Lat, with no detour into central Nha Trang to find another bus operator.

Reference prices for 2026 include:

OperatorVehicleOne-way price
Lam Dong Tours, 2026 price list4-seat carFrom VND 1,400,000
Lam Dong Tours, 2026 price listStandard 7-seat carFrom VND 1,500,000
Hoa Dalat Travel, 2026 price list4-seat carFrom VND 1,500,000
Hoa Dalat Travel, 2026 price list7-seat carFrom VND 1,750,000
Hoa Dalat Travel, 2026 price list16-seat vehicleFrom VND 2,500,000

These are starting prices; ask for a quote for your exact departure date.

Three travelers sharing a Lam Dong Tours four-seat car costing VND 1,400,000 pay approximately VND 467,000 each. That is more expensive than taking the bus, but you avoid changing transport, waiting for another departure, and moving luggage between pickup points.

Groups of four or five should pay attention to luggage space, not just the number of seats. A seven-seat vehicle may accommodate all passengers but still run short of luggage space with a large suitcase for everyone.

When requesting a booking, send the operator your flight number, arrival terminal, scheduled landing time, number of passengers, luggage count, and Da Lat hotel address. Evening arrivals also need to ask which road the driver can legally use at that time, because not every journey can take the shortest route over Khanh Le Pass.

Option 2: airport bus to Nha Trang, then an intercity bus to Da Lat

This suits solo travelers, backpackers, and people prioritizing lower transport costs. Take Dat Moi route 18 into Nha Trang, then travel to the departure point of your bus or limousine service to Da Lat.

One option is Phuong Trang, also known as FUTA Bus Lines, which operates between Nha Trang and Da Lat. The journey takes approximately four hours under normal conditions. Phuong Trang's 2026 timetable includes departures at 7:15 AM, 8:15 AM, 9:15 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 2:30 PM from the area around Nha Trang's New Southern Bus Station, arriving at Da Lat Interprovincial Bus Station.

An orange Phuong Trang coach on the highway in Lam Dong.

Booked through TravelBus, a 2026 Phuong Trang fare was approximately VND 280,630 per passenger after promotional discounts, including fees on the platform. Prices booked directly with Phuong Trang may differ.

Cuc Tung Limousine is another operator worth checking. In 2026, Cuc Tung fares start from VND 230,000, with multiple boarding locations in Nha Trang, including areas around the Northern Bus Station, Southern Bus Station, and some city pickup points.

A ticket that just says "Nha Trang to Da Lat" does not tell you where the bus leaves from. Verify the exact boarding location. A bus leaving from an office in the city center is different from one departing from the Southern Bus Station. Arriving near 19/8 Stadium on the Dat Moi bus, you may still need extra time and money to reach your intercity bus pickup point.

Total cost: airport bus plus intercity bus to Da Lat

Combining Dat Moi route 18 with Phuong Trang, the estimated cost is:

JourneyOperatorReference cost
Cam Ranh Airport to Nha TrangDat Moi, 2026 fareVND 75,000
Nha Trang to Da LatPhuong Trang via TravelBus, 2026 fareAbout VND 280,630
TotalExcluding transfers between pickup pointsAbout VND 356,000 per person

This does not include a taxi or Grab ride between the Dat Moi drop-off point and the Phuong Trang boarding location, if required.

A flight landing at 10:00 AM and a Da Lat bus departing at 11:00 AM is a connection you are unlikely to make. You still need to collect your luggage, leave the airport, travel approximately an hour to Nha Trang, and reach the bus pickup location. A later departure is easier to manage than a very tight connection.

Is there a direct public bus from Cam Ranh airport to Da Lat?

Cam Ranh Airport has no fixed direct public bus route to Da Lat comparable to route 18 into Nha Trang. Direct airport-to-Da Lat options are mainly pre-booked private cars, and shared intercity buses and limousine services usually depart from Nha Trang.

Some operators may agree to airport pickup by arrangement, but you need written confirmation of the pickup time, location, vehicle, and fare. A bus ticket departing from Nha Trang does not include a stop at Cam Ranh Airport.

Is Khanh Le Pass a problem when traveling to Da Lat?

It can be, at least for trips in late 2026.

National Highway 27C connects the Nha Trang area with Da Lat via Khanh Le Pass. Following landslides in late 2025, the road reopened, but several sections still required stabilization and repair.

Photo: Chris Lewis
Highway 27C winding below forested cliffs on Khanh Le Pass.

In early November 2026, repair work at nine locations along National Highway 27C was still underway. Construction could require temporary traffic stops, with each managed closure lasting no more than one hour. The project was expected to be completed in December 2026.

An afternoon or evening arrival at Cam Ranh Airport therefore does not guarantee that a driver can immediately take National Highway 27C to Da Lat. Depending on the restrictions and current road conditions, drivers may need to use an alternative route via National Highway 1 and National Highway 27, and that detour can add considerable travel time.

A morning flight into Cam Ranh works best for Da Lat. It gives your driver more time to cross the mountain sections during permitted operating hours instead of having to change routes after dark.

With a flight landing at 8:00 PM or 10:00 PM, spending one night in Nha Trang or the Bai Dai area and continuing to Da Lat the next morning is often the more practical option, especially for families with children.

Should you fly to Cam Ranh or Lien Khuong for Da Lat?

With Da Lat as your only destination and no flight booked yet, check flights to Lien Khuong Airport first.

Lien Khuong Airport uses the code DLI and is much closer to Da Lat than Cam Ranh, which makes it the more convenient arrival airport for a trip focused on Da Lat.

In 2026, Lien Khuong Airport temporarily closed from March 4 for airfield infrastructure repairs. However, the airport officially resumed operations on August 19, 2026. Cam Ranh is no longer a necessary alternative simply because Lien Khuong is closed.

Cam Ranh can still make sense in several situations. International travelers may find more convenient flights into CXR than into DLI. It can also be worth considering for significantly cheaper flights to Cam Ranh, or for two days in Nha Trang before heading to Da Lat.

But compare the total journey cost. A flight to Cam Ranh that saves VND 500,000 may not actually be cheaper once you pay VND 1.4-1.5 million for a private transfer to Da Lat.

Solo travelers should compare the airfare plus intercity bus costs. Groups should calculate the total airfare for everyone and the price of a private car.

Arriving at Cam Ranh airport early in the morning or late at night

Flights landing between 5:00 AM and 8:00 AM

This is a manageable time to reach Nha Trang, but not every bus service will be running yet. Dat Moi may arrange early departures around flight schedules, while VinBus route 16-2 only begins airport departures at 7:00 AM on its original timetable. Land before the first suitable bus, and a taxi or Grab saves the wait.

Travelers staying at Bai Dai resorts should ask about check-in times and luggage storage, because arriving at a resort at 7:00 AM does not mean your room will be ready immediately.

Flights landing between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM

This is often the easiest period for arranging onward transport. Heading to Nha Trang, choose a bus or taxi according to your group size and luggage, then ask your hotel to store your bags if your room is not ready.

Continuing to Da Lat takes more careful timing. A flight landing at 2:00 PM may not get you outside the airport until close to 3:00 PM, and by the time you reach Nha Trang, several daytime intercity bus departures may already have left. Private car travelers also need to check the restrictions on Khanh Le Pass, since the driving estimate in a navigation app does not account for them.

Flights landing after 9:00 PM

For late-night arrivals, a taxi or pre-booked transfer is usually the more dependable choice. International passengers should allow extra time for immigration, baggage collection, and contacting their driver; a flight that lands at 10:00 PM may not get you out of the terminal until considerably later.

For Da Lat, ask the transport company to confirm the nighttime route before paying. Drivers cannot use a road section that is legally closed to traffic, even to shorten the journey. With no suitable road option, stay near the airport or in Nha Trang and continue the next morning.

What should international travelers prepare before arriving?

International visitors usually need additional time at Terminal 2 because of immigration and baggage procedures.

Before flying, save your hotel's address in both Vietnamese and English, along with its contact number. For a hotel in a small alley, save the nearest major road as well so the driver can find it more easily.

Once you leave the terminal, avoid accepting transport offers without confirming the fare and the company providing the service. You can use an official taxi counter, a ride-hailing app, or a transfer arranged in advance with your hotel.

Paying in Vietnamese dong is easier. Dat Moi buses need cash, and the payment methods Grab accepts depend on your account settings and supported payment options.

Travelers without a Vietnamese SIM can install an eSIM before departure. Keep your private transfer driver's contact details and booking confirmation saved on your phone so you can access them as soon as your Internet connection is available.

Families with young children should ask about vehicle size, seating arrangements, and suitable child safety seats. Luggage and children's needs matter as much as passenger capacity in choosing a car.

What flights operate at Cam Ranh airport?

Cam Ranh is one of the main aviation gateways to Vietnam's south-central coast, handling both domestic and international flights.

Domestic flights

Common domestic connections associated with Cam Ranh include Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and Hai Phong. Other routes, such as Phu Quoc, may appear depending on airline schedules and operating periods.

Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air are familiar carriers serving multiple domestic routes involving Cam Ranh. Flight frequency, operating airlines, and available routes can change throughout the year.

When searching for flights to Nha Trang, enter Nha Trang or the airport code CXR. There is no separate airport in the city center.

International flights

Cam Ranh receives flights from several international tourism markets. Notable 2026 routes include Seoul and Busan in South Korea, several Chinese cities, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, Bangkok in Thailand, Singapore, and cities in Russia.

Not every route operates daily or throughout the year. Some services are seasonal or operated as charter flights.

Travelers coming from abroad to Nha Trang or Da Lat need the flight schedule for their actual travel dates, not just a general destination list. Connecting itineraries that mix international and domestic segments need the transit airport and departure terminal confirmed.

What time should you leave Nha Trang for Cam Ranh airport?

The return journey from central Nha Trang to Cam Ranh Airport usually takes around 45-60 minutes by car under normal conditions. Buses may take longer because of scheduled stops.

Plan to arrive at the airport about two hours before a domestic departure and three hours before an international one, unless your airline specifies otherwise.

For example, with a domestic flight departing at 10:00 AM, leaving your hotel in central Nha Trang around 7:00 AM is more sensible than leaving at 8:00 AM. This allows time for the road journey, luggage check-in, and security without rushing.

By bus, add time for waiting. Dat Moi route 18 does not have a fixed departure schedule that applies every day, so confirm your departure time in advance.

For flights leaving at 6:00 AM or 7:00 AM, book a taxi ahead of time. A suitable early bus may not be available.

When arranging transport from your hotel, tell the driver whether you are flying domestically or internationally. The driver needs to know whether to take you to Terminal 1 or Terminal 2.

Which transport option should you choose?

Traveling alone to central Nha Trang with light luggage

Choose Dat Moi route 18 if the bus timing works and there is a stop close to your accommodation. At VND 75,000 per person since March 2026, it is cheaper than a private taxi. Include the walk from the bus stop to your hotel when making the decision: with the nearest stop more than a kilometer away and a large suitcase to pull in the rain, the savings may not be worth it.

Two people arriving in Nha Trang during the day

Compare Dat Moi with International Taxi or Grab. Two standard Dat Moi tickets cost approximately VND 150,000, and a four-seat International Taxi to Nha Trang costs VND 300,000. The VND 150,000 difference for two people may be worth it to travel directly to your hotel. With no rush and a stop close to your accommodation, the bus remains a good choice.

A family of four with several suitcases

Prioritize a seven-seat taxi or private transfer. A four-seat vehicle has enough passenger seats, but large suitcases, a stroller, and carry-on bags may take up more space than the luggage compartment can accommodate. When requesting a quote, tell the operator how many suitcases you have so they can arrange a suitable vehicle.

Staying at a resort in Bai Dai

Ask your resort about its airport transfer service first, then check VinBus 16-2 or taxi options. Bai Dai's resort area is much closer to the airport than downtown Nha Trang, and the ride goes straight there without a trip into the city.

Ask whether VinBus stops near your resort entrance. Some resort properties cover large areas, and walking from the main gate to the reception lobby can be a long haul.

Continuing to Da Lat on the same day

Groups landing in the morning can compare direct private transfers from the airport. Solo travelers watching costs can take Dat Moi into Nha Trang and then Phuong Trang or Cuc Tung.

Late-afternoon arrivals need to reassess the bus timetable and road restrictions around Khanh Le Pass, and book the onward bus only once you know how long it will take to leave the airport.

Common mistakes when leaving Cam Ranh airport

The first mistake is not checking where your accommodation is located. Some travelers book a resort in Bai Dai but purchase a ticket into central Nha Trang. They then need another ride back toward the airport, losing time and paying for an unnecessary journey.

The second mistake is confusing Terminal 1 with Terminal 2. The domestic pickup location at Terminal 1 does not apply to international arrivals at Terminal 2. Select the correct terminal when booking Grab or a private car and check the meeting instructions.

The third mistake is relying on outdated bus fares. Dat Moi route 18 has charged VND 75,000 for standard buses and VND 100,000 for VIP services since March 26, 2026, but the old VND 50,000 fare still appears in places. Confirming the fare at the ticket counter avoids misunderstandings.

The fourth mistake is booking a Da Lat bus without enough connection time. Your flight's landing time is not the time you will be standing outside the terminal. You still need to collect your luggage, find transport, complete the road journey, and reach the next bus departure point.

The final mistake is treating the shortest route from Cam Ranh to Da Lat as always open. In late 2026, National Highway 27C over Khanh Le Pass still has repair work and nighttime traffic restrictions. Choose your departure time according to current road conditions rather than relying entirely on an estimated driving time displayed on a map.

What should you check before landing?

You only need a few pieces of information, but they should be accurate.

First, save your flight number and scheduled arrival time. Then identify whether you will arrive at Terminal 1 or Terminal 2, confirm your accommodation address, and decide which transport option you intend to use.

By bus: check the fare, direction of travel, next departure time, and nearest stop to your accommodation. By taxi or private transfer: confirm the total one-way price and any additional charges.

Da Lat adds one more step: check which mountain road routes are open and what time your vehicle is expected to reach the pass. During the rainy season, avoid scheduling an activity in Da Lat immediately after your estimated arrival time.

Still deciding where to stay? Read the Nha Trang Travel Guide to compare accommodation areas, or Da Lat to Nha Trang to plan a journey between the two cities. For a Da Lat-only trip, compare flights to Lien Khuong Airport before committing to Cam Ranh.

FAQ

How far is Cam Ranh Airport from Nha Trang?

Cam Ranh Airport is approximately 35 km south of central Nha Trang. A taxi or private transfer usually takes 45-60 minutes, while buses may take around 50-90 minutes depending on the route and drop-off point. Resorts along Bai Dai Beach are considerably closer to the airport.

What is the cheapest way to get from Cam Ranh Airport to Nha Trang?

VinBus route 16-2 costs VND 50,000 per person, one way, and is useful if your destination is along its route. Dat Moi route 18 has charged a standard fare of VND 75,000 per person since March 26, 2026, and is more suitable for central Nha Trang. Groups should also compare taxi and ride-hailing prices.

How long does it take to get from Cam Ranh Airport to Da Lat, and how much does it cost?

A direct private car normally takes approximately 3.5-4.5 hours when the favorable route is available. Lam Dong Tours' 2026 prices start from VND 1,400,000 for a four-seat vehicle. Taking a bus to Nha Trang and then a Phuong Trang bus to Da Lat costs approximately VND 356,000 per person at 2026 fares, excluding any transfer between boarding points. Road restrictions and detours can significantly increase travel time.

What flights are available at Cam Ranh Airport?

Cam Ranh has domestic connections with destinations such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and Hai Phong, along with other routes depending on the operating period. International services connect the airport with markets including South Korea, China, Russia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore. Schedules vary by airline and season. The airport code is CXR.

Can I still get to Nha Trang if my flight lands at 11:00 PM?

You may still be able to arrange a taxi or pre-booked private transfer, but you should not assume public buses will be operating. Dat Moi may arrange late services around the final flights, although actual departures need confirmation. Pre-booked transport is more predictable for late arrivals, particularly international flights. If you are continuing to Da Lat, check the nighttime restrictions on National Highway 27C and any necessary alternative routes.
